Virtual PC, MacIP & LocalTalk

G'day,

I believe I already know the answer but before spending more money, I
thought I'd ask.

I have a client with a few Macs on a LocalTalk network using the Vicom
gateway to access the net. Is there any way to get VirtualPC (used for 'net
banking) to use OpenTransport and MacIP rather than using the ethernet
adaptor? If it is not possible with VirtualPC then how about SoftWindows
(or any others)?

If it is a hardware solution then do you have any thoughts on the following:

1. An additional modem and phone line and use Windows dial-up adaptor.
2. Move Vicom & modem to Mac with VPC (installing extra RAM) and
    use Windows dial-up adaptor.
3. Install ethernet (commslot cards) in gateway Mac and Mac w/ VPC.
(Ethernet all around is considered too expensive.)
4. Other ideas....

The primary concerns are cost and ease of use. Speed is not a major factor.

Thanks for your help,
Charlie
