Hi everyone,

        Our server was caught for most of the day in an infinite loop for
seemingly inexplicable reasons. Messages that were sent today have
therefore most likely been lost.

There are two big changes:

        First of all, since Steve and I were unable to resolve the digest
header problem, we're going to try unmoderated mode for a while. This
depends on two factors:

1. List members act civilly toward one another. No attacks, silly advocacy
arguments. Just helpful information. If this consistently fails to be the
case, we'll remove post privileges from offenders or return to moderated
mode.

2. List members agree not to overly quote previous messages in their posts.
Any message should have more new text than quoted test.

        Second, we're going to allow "normal" subscriber mode for those who
insist. Please remember that "digest" mode is recommended for most (.
Currently, all 1000+ WinMac subscribers are in digest mode; if you wish to
