You're probably right, my knowledge isn't great. However, why would one
want to open attachments? It seems complete overkill for what otherwise
is a lean operation. I'm afraid I'd give up on the list if I have to open
attachments.

But surely there is. I don't understand what's wrong with good old email.
So many other lists manage it, (MIME compatible or otherwise). I've yet
to read my list mail via an attachment.

BTW, this digest didn't arrive as an attachment?
