Regarding this "trick" for speeding up VPC - Connectix engineers have
tested and re-tested all variations of this and clearly state that it
does NOT cause ANY measureable increase in speed. None. Not even a
little. What DOES increase speed is no extra extensions/control panels,
more memory, more backside cache, a G3 chip as fast as you can get.
