    If the server has had Services for Macintosh install (a.k.a. SFM) then it would also have installed the printing services for Macintosh. You would only need to have the correct Mac driver for this printer. As far as protocol go, I'm not familiar with OS X enough to tell you for sure but AppleTalk should work but there might be a better protocol to use under X. There might be some kind of TCP/IP printing capability. Since you're printing to the server's print queue, you needn't worry about what protocol the printer itself supports. That's been taken care of in this case with a parallel cable.
