Next message: Nick Scalise: "Re: [WinMac] Wireless options"
I have thought of that is well. I tried using the Partition Magic 8 CD
to boot into DOS and then inserted the Win 98 SE or ME CD, but setup.exe
doesn't seem to be able to cope with this. I have tried burning Win 98
and Win ME boot floppy files to CD and switching CDs, etc., but nothing
seems to work. Win2k Pro will boot from the CD, but I am unsure how to
quit the install and stay in DOS. While there may be a way of doing
this, I still believe that the problem probably lies in the way Win 98
SE and Win ME setup.exe programs work (i.e. what they expect to be
presented with as far as loaded files are concerned, where those files
should be located on a floppy disk or a CD, etc. and maybe even
something to do with the BIOS for all I know, which is where the rub
lies, because without understanding that, this problem may unfortunately
never be solved.
Cheers,
Brian
