[WinMac] importing OE addresses on XP from OE on Mac

    My client just bought a XP Home machine.

    They are running OE 6, sp 1

    Their old machine is an iMac G3/233, Mac OS 8.6, running OE 5.x

    I tried to "export contacts" from the Mac and import then into the XP
    machine

    I got an error message "The operation cannot be completed."

    I used zipit for mac to mac a self extracting PC archive (i.e. "exe" file)
    and the file comes across as a *.wab" file but cannot be imported. The file
    is recognized by the OS as an address book file.

    when the zipped export file is created it has the icon of an "*.exe" file
    for windows

    I wonder if there is some step i am missing in x-ferring the file from the
    mac to the pc

    it was done via internet since the imac does not have a floppy drive
