Next message: B. S.: "[WinMac] Canon C635"
Hi again,
I am new to using ZoneAlarm Pro and was hoping that one of the network
gurus on the list could help me with the following. I have a LAN/WAN
made up of 4 computers, three of which are using Win 98 and 1 (mine)
that is using Win 2k Pro. After having installed ZoneAlarm Pro, I keep
getting the following message:
"ZoneAlarm Pro Alert: The firewall has blocked Internet access to your
computer (NetBIOS Session from 192.168.1.101 (TCP Port 1049 (TCP Flags:S):"
My Win 2k box has two Ethernet cards, one which is connected to the
LAN/WAN through a LinkSys router, which is connected to a 3Com cable
modem for Internet access. The other card is not in use at this time.
ZoneAlarm Pro lists two separate "networks", one that has 192.168.0.0 as
the IP address, while the other is listed as IP 192.168.1.0. Is
ZoneAlarm Pro distinguishing between what is LAN/WAN and what is
Internet traffic on the one card, or is it simply viewing each card as a
separate "network"? Should ZoneAlarm Pro block Internet access to my
computer from IP 192.168.1.101 or is this a computer on my LAN/WAN that
is trying to connect, but I simply have labeled the "network"
incorrectly in ZoneAlarm Pro? Very confusing. I want to get this right,
so please help me if you can.
Cheers,
Brian
