Yeah, I've discovered that. In this case the machine in question was
crashing because of some Norton's Utilites extension called Norton Protect.

I told the person to remove all the nortons stuff from their computer,
gather all the Norton's manuals and cd's, pound a stake through them,
burn them and scatter the ashes after mixing them thoroughly with holy
water. ;-)

Guess I will. I already learned yesterday in another oddity that when
your NT account expires, you're expired with extreme prejudice. Onithe
Windows boxes you're simply not allowed to log back in after exiting a
session. On the Mac you get warnings 'You'll be disconnected in X minutes!'
