        Tom,

        You'll lose NTFS if you switch. IIRC, NetATalk and CAP (Columbia AppleTalk
Package) are open source for *nix. Ugh.

        However, a better question you should be asking is "How do I get better
performance out of NT4 or Win2k?"

        SUGGESTION: Try the ExtremeZ-IP demo and see if it breaks your bottlenecks:
