Hi again,

I have a question about my LinkSys router. I have been using it for a number
of months on a cable connection and now feel confident enough to try to close
ports that I don't use, to increase security.

I have a small home LAN connected to the router. The majority of the
computers are using Win 98 SE. My computer is dual boot Win 2000 and SuSE
Linux 7.3 Pro. As a familly, we use many of the average items such as http,
ftp, MSN Messenger, e-mail, gnutella clones, etc. I would like to close as
many of the other ports that we don't use as possible, to improve WAN/LAN
security.
