No...you're confusing "off the wall" ("Extremely unconventional")
with "off the cuff" ("In an extemporaneous or informal manner"). At
any rate, I've been leery of Apple's experimentation with computer
design over the past three years or so. Radical designs often
mean radical design _flaws_ that won't be discovered until after a
few people have bought the thing.

I'd like to see one, but that's much easier said than done, since no
store around here seems to stock Apples anymore. Once upon a
time, we had Best Buy and Circuity City. Best Buy stopped
selling them nearly two years ago. I asked about them in Circuit
City two weeks ago, and was told they should be getting some in
a week. I called last week, and they said they were no longer
carrying Macs. That actually made sense, because you'd think
that if they still sold Macs, they would've had *some* type of Macs
in when I was there, even if the new iMacs weren't in yet. So it's
that same old story again.

STORES where you can go in and look at Macs...what a radical
concept! THAT'S what Apple needs to be concerned about,
instead of trying to make a computer look like everything but a
computer...
