[WinMac] SFM Printing from Macs

Greetings,

We have an aging, ailing NT4 server with SFM installed. "Something"
is wrong with the SFM installation that I was never able to track
down. Since the thing is a mish-mash of 5 years worth of accumulated
print queues using every protocol known to IT science, I decided to
perform a manual audit of the 100+ queues and create them from
scratch on a new box (also NT4 server).

I have just completed the arduous task of creating 117 print queues.
Each prints directly to printers via TCP/IP with a few exceptions to
accommodate AppleTalk-only printers.

My problem: Macs won't print to ANY of the queues! I had "masked"
most of the printers by making a local user (MacP) own the Print
Server for Macintosh service, but even turning that off does not
help. ANY communication from a Mac client (OS 9.1 on an iMac that
can print just fine to another NT server) results in the NT box
recognizing the attempt; both sides declare the job is "spooling", it
sits there for awhile, and then the Mac times out.

I have compared settings between a "known-good" NT box and this
problem child and I'm blue in the face from it. Can anyone give some
suggestion that DOESN'T involve starting over?

Thanks,
...ROMeyn
