Was this an upgrade to a previous installation of Eudora? If so, try
removing eudora.ini from the mail directory and use Eudora to re-create the
    configuration.

You could try turning off "Use Microsoft's viewer" which makes Eudora use
it's own display engine for email instead of Internet Explorer's rendering
library. (adding UseBidentAlways=0 to eudora.ini does the same thing)

Other thoughts: Are the ads clickable? Is Netscape registered in Windows as
    the default browser?
