I've had that problem on Windows machines, and it is most
irritating. My Win box at home will do it every few months or so,
and even reboot itself in the middle of something. I never did
anything about it -- besides hope it would pass on its own; and it
always does pass on its own.

But it happened more seriously here at work, where it wouldn't even
boot Windows. My ITS guy told me: "Your computer is GONE,
man," and promptly reinstalled the OS (I needed an OS upgrade
anyway). I refuse to believe it's that serious, but maybe it was in
that case. Before hooking up with my ITS guy, I was <this> close
to calling M$ support, but I didn't want to pay them out-of-pocket
for support for a university computer.

If I were you, I'd install a higher version of the Windows OS, for 95
is the one that does it to me. Since installing 98 on my PC, I
haven't had that problem, and perhaps this goes for the emulator as
well. I don't know how your budget works, but you might call Blue
Label support if other avenues don't work for you.

    HTH,
    Bob
