Next message: Dan Schwartz: "RE: [WinMac] Celvin Easy PC part 2."
Hi again,
I managed to reformat the entire hard disc in preparation for installing Win
98 SE (UK) on the hard disc, by using PartitionMagic 6. However, after
reformatting the hard disc and restarting the computer, I now get the
following message at boot up:
"Error finding BTMAGIC.IMG
Run BootMagic install
Press any key to boot active partition."
The problem is of course, that while I have an active partition, there is no
system installed yet. Therefore, I just get a blinking line and never get
any further so that I can install my new system. How do I avoid getting this
message at startup so that I can finally get to where I can install my Win
98 SE (UK) system?
As the Celvin is a legacy-free PC, all connections are with USB. Therefore,
while I have a BootMagic boot disc, I cannot boot either with the floppy
drive or the Zip 250 MB drive as they are both USB.
Cheers,
Brian
