I'll wager a pitcher of beer (or an admission to the Tennessee Aquarium!) that
they used windoze 95/98 instead of NT4/NT5 (Win2k)...

But graphics design & journalism is only a small fraction of the IT market...
And in a K-12 environment, why limit student exposure to the tools that only a
small fraction of their future job market will use?
I'm NOT trying to start a platform war here! However, since HKnight is (most
likely) in a high school, then why limit the students' exposure to tools that
only a small fraction of the job market uses in Real Life?
Stop and Think: Yes, journalism & graphic arts are important... And so is
learning how to manage a Solaris server. But >90% of the computers the average
student today will encounter in the job market tomorrow will be x86/Windows
boxes... It's a LOT easier to downgrade from an NT/Win2k machine to a win95/98
POS than it is to go from a Mac to win95/98 POS...

You're right on target on your last point!
Cheers!
