    Well I finally found that I could check the box for automount if I
    highlighted the disk's name in the Drive Setup program. That didn't
    help any though.

    Then I swapped the SCSI cable around ( as per Bruce Johnson's
    suggestion) so that the zip disk was in the middle of the SCSI chain and
    the new Quantum HD at the end. That worked...until I mounted the drives
    in the computer! So I finally just put SCSI Probe into the Control
    Panels and that is automatically mounting the Quantum for me. That
    little utility is what I was using to mount the Quantum after the Mac
    booted and you can use it in the Control Panel to make a stubborn drive mount.
