    Yes, it does. Whether it's exposed like NetBSD (not very much) or say
    RedHat or Solaris(quite a bit) depends entirely on what services are
    enabled on a default install.

    I really hope that Apple does it right and ships OS X tight, rathether
    than, say RedHat's 'Lets open up _everything!!!_' attitude.

    Of course the 'less is more' security mantra applies to OSX more than
    OS9. Don't enable any services you don't use...if you need to use 'em,
    turn 'em on, the turn 'em back off when you're done.

    Practical Unix and Internet Security, 2nd Ed. by Garfinkel and Spafford
    is the bible of the subject, IMO.

    It's an O'Reilly book...I bet they get a Mac OSX book out as soon as the
    beta ships. That should cover security.
