Stick with NT4 - I run my private colocated NT4 - Exchange 5.5 server on a
rePentium 90 (Compaq Prosignia 300); and it's quite reliable.
And Yes, you can download a 30 day free demo of UltraBac to do this deed.
...And Yes, the free version of NTFSDOS will read an NTFS volume - I first
used it 4 years ago on a dual boot 486/33 running Win 3.1 & NT 3.51. There
is also a charged-for version that gives you read/write access to an NTFS
volume. Also, Bryce Cogswell & Mark Russinovich have a FAT32 driver for NT4.
