We used to swear at our CoolScan! Not anymore though, we got rid of it.
The dynamic range on it was poor and it couldn't scan a sharp image to
save it's life. Piece of junk! Not at all a professional level
scanner. The high-end Nikon scanner might be better. I don't have any
experience with it.
