            Brian,

            I *doubt* that USB support would be lost when removing Internet Exploder
    from 95/98, especially if the Aptiva BIOS supports a USB keyboard.

            Suggestion: Check IBM's web site and download the latest flashBIOS update
    for your Aptiva model... Then check the revision history to see if USB
    keyboard support has been added or any bugs fixed.
