[WinMac] NT file system error 1026 - Mac+Dave?

    Evening all,

    We have an NT4 SP5 server, a dozen or so Win9x workstations and a couple of
    Macs that use Dave to access shared volumes on the server.

    I've just been clearing some disk space on the server by copying old stuff
    to CD-ROM and so on. I've been working from Win98 workstations, one of which
    as the CD burner attached.

    The occasional file (a few dozen out of perhaps 10,000) won't let me access
    it. Attempts to copy, delete or rename produce a messagebox reporting "file
    system error (1026)". The reason I'm seeking advice from this group is that
    as far as I can make out every single one of these files was placed in the
    shared volume by a Mac and not by a Windows machine.

    Any suggestions what might be going on?
