One way to get to this is by right-clicking My Computer, selecting
properties and selecting the Network Identification tab.

For one windows machine running TCP/IP only to see another running TCP/IP
only, they need to be able to resolve the machine name to an IP address.
This is handled either by a WINS server, through DNS or through an lmhosts
file (there may be other ways.) Try typing in the run box (click Start
then Run) "\\ip.address.of.othermachine" without the quotes and with the
appropriate substitution. An lmhosts file is the easiest way to fix this
problem; WINS and DNS/Active Directory will require NT or Win2k server.

Good question. I've never tried to do this, but it may be possible with
hardware profiles. My solution to this problem has been to set everything
up so that the machine gets its information dynamically when it connects.
