Next message: Tom Roth: "Re: [WinMac] NT backup for Registry/Exchange"
Well yesterday was the big day for my computer hard disk upgrade. The
first thing I did was a full backup onto tape. After that was complete
and verified then shutdown and installed the SCSI drive, booted up and
formatted it with Disk Administrator. Then I booted from a DOS floppy
that had Ghost 5.1 on it. Imaged the old 1GB IDE disk (65% full) onto
the new SCSI disk in about 15 minutes. I then shutdown, disconnected
the IDE and powered back up. The SCSI drive booted up just fine without
having to make any changes to the boot.ini file. I just had to set the
primary IDE in BIOS from auto to none so I wouldn't get an error message
when booting.
Thanks for everyone's help!
