    Is this disk one that was supplied with the server, or one that you
    are adding? I suspect that you may need to update the disk drivers
    using Drive Setup.

    What are you going to be serving with this server, you may need to
    update system software, appleshare clients on the client machines so
    that they can access hard disk volumes of above 4gb (in fact that may
    be 2gb)
