I disagree: Use an Internet appliance as a firewall & NAT box. Linksys
makes a nice box for $179 for xDSL & cable modems...
I have a LOT of experience with Prosignia 500's: If you have an open PCI
slot use an Intel Pro/100+ NIC (i82559) and you'll be fine. One PCI slot
for a SCSI adapter, and one PCI slot for the NIC... And add a pair 32 MB
parity SIMMs and you'll easily fill a 100Base-TX pipeline with Mac data.
