Well let's open up the ol' Beige G3 and see what we have in there. An
AdvanSys card running an external 2mb Jaz drive and an Adaptec
2940U2W LVD running an external 10,000 rpm IBM drive. The built-in
SCSI is running my external DDS-2 tape, scanner and ALPS printer. No
problems that I've seen except a 'won't wake up from sleep' issue
that I can't put my finger on.

Dan is right on that USB is for the slower stuff (it replaced ADB,
remember??). Firewire is supposed to be for the fast stuff and my
understanding is that it rips the hell out of SCSI.
