        Oops! I accidently hit Send before typing my reply...

        In any case, it depends on the server: If it's an NT server, keep an eye
on the event logs, especially for red warnings.

        For an AppleShare server, , it depends on the OS version it's running on
top of... If it's System 7.5.1 for Workgroup Servers, 3 years is the max
uptime I've seen; and I would probably say the same for 7.6.1

        If it's based on MacOS 8 or higher, then you already are rebooting after
every crash, anyway...
