        Not quite true: This is possible on the RISC versions (AlphaNT) of NT4. On
the x86 version, the NT drivers load during the 32 bit (blue screen) part
of the boot cycle, while the installer needs to operate in the 16 bit part
of the boot cycle. Blame intel's legacy crap for that one...

        Native Transactional File System... Self healing in many cases. IMHO, NTFS
(and HPFS) alone is worth the price of admission. And NTFS is a derivative
of the extremely robust mainframe file system found in OpenVMS, brought
over by Dave Cutler...

        NTFS 2.0 and higher (NT4 started using NTFS 2.0) also includes a defrag
API built in, so you don't need to buy a defragmenter: You can download
Diskeeper Lite from <http://www.diskeeper.com> which hooks in and will
defrag your drives - No need to buy Norton Utilities...
