Sigh...gee...Adobe had the needed updates on their sight within 24 hours of
9's release. Must have missed that Dan. Also, make sure you wait for the
obligatory Microsoft "Oops, the service pack is broke, we're pulling it,
sorry if you already installed it and hosed your system. The fixed service
pack will be out real soon now"

Since when is it Apple's fault that Adobe is using FCB access routines that
Apple has been redflagging for a few years now. If Adobe had run their code
according to the rules, then we wouldn't have had this problem However,
since the patches are out...who cares.

You ALWAYS have to upgrade conflict catcher with each release, considering
how that program works, I'm not surprised.

9 COMES with a compatible version of StuffIt expander on the CD. Must have
missed that too.

geez...what are people thinking anymore..."Here's a major upgrade...nope, I
don't need no stinking readmes..." Guess what? With the exception of
PowerMail, which I believe is also patched, *all* of the other conflicts
were documented prior to 9's release. Oh, I'M sorry, Apple should have
telepathically warned us...get real.

So all of Dan's warnings are for naught. As with all upgrades to an OS,
proceed with caution. Sometimes, even if you are jumping into the deep end,
it may not be filled with water.
