Good morning!

First off, if you also run NT, Service Pack 6 is out. If you already
have SP4 or SP5 installed, use the Express Install which is about 3 MB.

Next on the hit parade is MacOS 9. My advice: Sit tight until 9.0.1
comes out. Remember 7.6, 8.5, and 8.6 being quickly replaced by 7.6.1,
8.5.1, and 8.6.1, err, "Font Fixer?"

Also, and no big surprise here, OS9 breaks your brand new ATM Deluxe 4.5
and ATR 2.5... Can't these jokers at Apple get it right once and for all
by putting in a patcher app deposited on the hard drive after upgrading?
Apple *used to* do this with AppleShare Server 4.x upgrades & installers
- Why couldn't they do this with 8.6 & 9.0? You'll also need to upgrade
Conflict Catcher, Stuffit Expander, and PowerMail. For a complete listing

My recommendation: </color>Wait until the obligatory 9.0.1 "bug fixes"
come out in a couple of weeks, unless you *really* need Right Now a
particular feature. ColorSync 3.0 and FontSync 1.0 are interesting; but
if you are already using ColorSync 2.5.1 for color critical work along
with third party add-ons (such as a ColorTron or other calibrator), be
careful. Same for those of you with drum scanners hitched to Macs.
