If you can afford the up front cost of the color laser, there is an
additional benefit. Hardware support for Adobe Postscript. That means you
get the same type of interpreter rasterizing your print as would be used for
a professional quality print. Images are more crisp and exact with a
Postscript printer.

Color laser printing is also faster.

Possible manufacturers are QMS, Tektronix, and HP. I have had really bad
luck with HP lately since they are now using Postscript emulation rather
than Adobe Postscript. QMS is also Postscript emulation. If you are going
to get a Postscript printer - make sure it is Adobe Postscript.

If you pay more than $2000 for the printer you go with, be certain to also
buy a support contact. Repairs can easily hit $1000 for this equipment.
