        Unfortunately the only work arounds consist of turning a lot
of the security off so that Everyone can use the Proxy Server without
any authentication.
        That still doesn't solve the problem with protocols other
than http, ftp, and gopher through the Proxy Server if the program
that you're running doesn't support SOCKS proxies. Most mail
programs, for example, won't work through MS Proxy Server from the
Macintosh.
