Dear Nancy,
In order to get your windows side to recognize your Zip drive under
Virtual PC, you need to put your Zip disk in the drive and while on your
PC side, hold down the Command key.
Along the bottom of your screen you'll see "Windows" "Eject Floppy",
"Eject CD" and "Folders"
Click on Folders.
A dialogue box will pop up asking what folders you want to share.
Start by clicking on Desktop
Locate the Zip disk you've placed in the drive and click once on it.
Underneath you'll see a button that now says something like "Share
Zip-100"
Below this you'll see a pop up menu which allows you to choose which
drive letter you wish to assign to your Zip disk. (I usually choose G).
Now click on "Share Zip-100" or "whatever your Zip disk is called" and
when you go back to your PC side, if you look in MY COMPUTER you should
see your Zip disk as drive G.
Make sure to go back and unshare the Zip disk before ejecting it, or
your Windows side may lock up.
