Actually, he may not know the physical location of all those printers, since
they are just somewhere in the ether.

Go to the printer you are interested in and physically punch its buttons to get
the menu, and print a test page. It will have all the jetdirect info on the test
page, part of which will be the card's address, which is what is used in
making up the generic name you see in the chooser.

Better yet, get the installation diskettes and run the jetadmin program, and
give the printer a name that you understand. (Unless you have one of those
futuristic computers with no floppy drive--In that case, get someone else to
run it for you.)
