[WinMac] File sharing problem

One of my users sent the following message:

Since installing OS 8.5.1, I can no longer "drag & drop" copy from
hard drives that
are "visiting" me. [ie. when I select any computer, from the chooser
and try to copy from their hard
drive to the SyQuest drive (or my hard drive)...the process freezes
my computer].

The users she mounts are all using appletalk file sharing and OS 8.1.

I am a Windows user, and only know how to re-install things on the macs to
fix them. What do I need to reinstall?
