FWIW:

I ran a LAN with Wingate for a proxy and it worked great. NT server w/30+
stations including Macs. I've subscribed to the Wingate List. The support
is great. There seems to be a lot of issues with MS Proxy in multi-platform
LANs. I've never seen a comparison with Wingate or Sygate where MS Proxy
warranted it's expense and maintenance overhead.
