        A CLIENT can use both protocols to access different
databases, but it may be true that a SERVER can only serve one
protocol - that I don't know.

        Why not connect the modems to an ISP full time (or at least
on demand) and use something like IPNetMonitor or Vicom's Internet
Gateway to provide bi-directional Internet access. For fax, they may
be SOL since I don't think anyone makes a Mac-based fax server - but
I could be wrong.

        The company is required to support it, though they may not
update it. It was indeed a good product and may serve your needs.
