All right. I wasn't going to comment so as not to perpetrate the thread,
but now I have to.

Calling a person vulgar just because they used ONE obscene word is very
inaccurate (and foolish).

Ton, I studied literature for some years in a previous life and found out
that expletives are part of the cultural baggage of a language and a
nation. I don't condone their use freely in every situation, especially
when used as a substitute for valid, normal, everyday words (what we used
to call crutches). But they do have their place and they are part of your
language adn your culture, wether you like it or not.

You can have any position you want on this but don't impose it upon us. I
agreee that this is a professional list, yet I also think it's a list for
grownups. And I think gronwups can tolerate people with different modes
of expression (like me and Dan for example ;) as long as they don't
become offensive. I was trying not to be offensive when I wrote f*&%king
(or whatever) yet you were still offended. This is remarkably like the
discussion we had on the use of terms like windoze and Quack, etc.

Conclusion: move on.

I don't think nyone on this list has been offensive enough to need to be
removed (don't confuse offensive with pain in the behind, I wanted to say
arse but then I could've offended somebody, although I thought that was
an accepted expression).
