        That's OK: In fact, you want to split your pagefile (Virtual Memory for
the Mac readers) across all your disk spindles.

        To change the page file size, right-click on My Computer, scroll to
Properties, click on the Performance tab and click on "Change..." under
Virtual Memory.

        Since I assume you are running NT4/x86, you have a total of 2 gigs of
address space to play with. So, with a half-gig of RAM then you'll want to
have a total page file size of 1.5 gigs.

        Yes, but you'll lose a spindle (assuming your C: drive is an entire
physical drive).

        More importantly is having the pagefile on each partition a constant size,
with one fragment. This is done by making the minimum and maximum sizes on
EACH partition the same size, i.e. if you have 5 (physical) drives then
assign 300 megabytes to each drive.
