[WinMac] Fwd: Has anyone seen this? MSWord98 and server volumes

Totally, I did the same thing to quicksolve the problem although we were
working on documents on Netware volumes. Our G3s were totally bogged down
until I deselected the "remember the last 9 (default) jobs
preference." My guess is the source volume is severely fragmented, maybe
the files ujhder the recently used list exist way deep in some
overrestricted share.

BTW, any idea on how to reduce the amount of RAM word98/excel98 need to
run, they guzzle 13/11 MB (and I thought those extra 32 MB I added to my
mac would go a long way) seems to me unreasonable for a word processor and
basic spreadsheets.

'm glad I am not alo0ne on this, I was about to use a bat on my Novell box.
