        Since Services for Macintosh (SFM) can only store Mac files on an NTFS
volume, you need to preserve the dual streams of NTFS. This means that you
can NOT move dual fork Mac files from one NT box directly to another *over
a LAN*

        You have 3 choices on moving these Mac files:

        1) Copying them to a Mac then back to the second server;

        2) Using a removable hard drive formatted to NTFS... Or an external hard
drive... Or a hot swap module;

        3) Using a tape backup and restore... Either NT's backup or UltraBac will
properly store both NTFS streams. I can't vouch for the other 3rd party
backup software doing this.

        Depending on the number of files as well as the total size, method 1 is
the no-brainer. But beware: As you get into the thousands of files the time
taken can stretch into an overnight run...

        Cheers!
