Let's not start another religious war, but I had to point out (In
"Quack's" defense) that I have had the exact oppsite experience than you
guys. I've found Pagemaker to crash continually and it lacks high-end
options that have always been there in Quark.

I am surprised to hear you say that Quark 3 crashed continually. I never
had so many problems with it. Now 4 is a different story. I went back to
3.

I completely agree with you on their tech support, it sucks!

But about the only bad thing I can say about Qaurk 3 is that it wants you
to do things ITS way.

Of course, I don't rate Page Layout programs (or any design software) by
how stable it is (although that is very important obviously), i first
look at them from a Designers point of view and if they will do the job
or not. When I got started in design (way back when) I started making a
whole magazine in Pagemaker, halfway through I found out that it wouldn't
do what I wanted it to do, gave Quark a try, finished (redesigned) the
whole magazine in Quark and have never looked back.

But then again, to each his own. And I will say that I don't think this
is the list to be comparing Quark against Pagemaker, etc (notice I say
this at the end, when I've already posted my 2 and 1/2 cents, ohhhh do I
have no shame? :) seriously though...
