Well, in one instance it was a 300 mhz Alpha server with a RAID array
connected via switched 100baseT to about 15 Macs, mostly 8500s... and this
was two years ago!

But with the preference set to "Faster", the time spent rebuilding the file
is at your discretion, rather than every time you hit cmd-s. Just "save
as" when you realize you f***ed up and placed the wrong graphic!

BTW... one of my MCSE instructors was telling me how Alpha's are great, but
make terrible file servers; Intel's do much better. Maybe that was our
problem? (guess this should move to AlphaNT, huh?).
