[Note to all: These comments are intended for everyone involved with DTP,
since we are discussing "features" that are common to both the win as well
as mac versions of these apps...]

        Dear Darron,

You and I think a lot alike! :) I'll reply inline (for the lurkers!):

This depends on whether you leave the PageMaker "Save as..." set to the
default of "Faster" or reset it (properly, IMHO) to "Smaller." Leaving it
set to the default of "Faster" will yield a bloated document, especially if
you have inserted then deleted a large graphic...

Hmmm... There must be a bug since InDesign is supposed to be the "Quark
Killer;" and if both of these PageMaker functions aren't included, then
there MUST be something wrong. Thanks for the tipoff!

Point well taken; but see my next remark 6 lines below...

Like I said at the top, "You and I think a lot alike! :)"

Or, as I've seen it in the past...

                In God We Trust...
                        All others pay cash!

However, if you have a 30 page table, then I don't trust *any* of the
tools available... Time to create a 330 inch (30 pages x 11 inches) single
page document and split it up manually!
