[WinMac] The Pulpit

To the list:

Not to be negative, but an article on Y2k and Windows NT came past me
which I thought might be of interest to some of you . . . of course
"The Pulpit" maybe is being melodramatic . . . but

. . . think about it. How many out there in the corporate IS are as
capable as the people on this list . . . there are plenty of smart
people out there, but not all. Problems take time to overcome. The
longer Microsoft waits to get the ultimate fix out the later all of you
will have to deal with it and the less time to fix the bugs. And there
are some who will not even bother until the last minute. Time will tell
if there really is a problem.

For me, I think it would be better to deploy Windows 2000 tomorrow and
start dealing with the bug reports NOW.

Or, just fix what is there right now (SP4 or SP5) and don't even think
about Windows 2000 until sometime in 2001.

Has anyone out there actually moved the clock forward on their server to
"see" what would happen?

Who wants to do the first test? Any volunteers.
