Tim,

I would start at the NT file manager and verify that your permission
settings are where you want them for MacFile services. Also, make sure you
have dropped the Appleshare folder from the UAM volume into the System
folder on the Mac. Be careful not to overwrite any other folder named
Appleshare.

Good luck.

Subject: [WinMac] lock mac volume om Windows NT

Hi

I have a problem with a Mac G3 on my network.
I have a network with both macs and Pc, they all log on a Windows Nt. On
the Nt I?ve installed services for macintosh. The Nt has a userfolder where
everybodys got a there own directory, with permisions only for them selves,
and a public folder where everybody has full access. We share files with
office 98 / office 97 , and it works great. All execpt one Mac.
At that mac when looking at the macvolume (on the NT) there are small
padlocks on all folders. I don?t mean the belt thats around the folders
with insufficient permissions. The padlocks don?t appear if i log in as the
same user on a different mac, they only appear on this mac and regardless
of which user i logg in as. If i try to copy some files to the volume the
mac hangs, and i have to power it down.

Why ?

Just got know idea of where to start.
