Hi:
I'm having a little trouble setting up an NT4 (SP3) server. Here's my
configuration (10BT network):
Situation:
-The Macs can see everything located on the network: dedicated ASIP 6.0
server running AppleTalk (no TCP/IP, no services for Windows); Win98
workstation with both Win98 and PCMacLan sharing enabled; NT4-SP3 server
with Server, Workstation, and Macintosh services enabled and NetBUI protocol
only enabled; & all Macs with file sharing enabled.
-The Win98 machine via Network Neighborhood>>Entire Network can see all the
Macs, the ASIP 6 server, and the NT4 server (as an AppleTalk server, not as
a Microsoft network unit). It does not 'see' the NT4 server via the
Microsoft networks.
-The NT4 server does not see anything via Network Neighborhood>>Entire
Network>>workgroup, other than itself.
Problem:
How do I get the NT4 server to 'see' the Win98 unit? I don't need the NT
server to see the Macs or the ASIP server. But I would like the NT server to
see the Win98 unit.
Any suggestions? Am I missing something obvious? Or is this the way its
supposed to work?
Thanks,
Bill
