        Since the subject of the iMac has been discussed in both the Windows - Mac
cooperation list as well as an off-topic tangent in the AlphaNT list, here
are links to a “second look” review in the San Jose Mercury at
 <http://www.mercurycenter.com/svtech/columns/testdrive/docs/tt021499.htm>;
and a summary of the “tsunami” of replies at:
 <http://www.mercurycenter.com/premium/business/docs/completter21.htm>.

        I found that Gary Roberts, D.D.S.' comments in the last 8 paragraphs to be
quite telling: It seems that he agrees with my point that the iMac is
actually a good desktop solution in a corporate setting -- Since they are
connected to a “strong” LAN (in a University setting), the iMac works quite
well for his needs.

        Yours truly,
        Daniel L. Schwartz,
        Electrical Engineer.
